EXPANDING to encompass EVERYTHING!

EXPANDING to encompass EVERYTHING!
By Lee-Anne Peters

Usually when we get into a space of being overwhelmed or scattered we are disconnecting ourself from who we are - even if we have things to do for example. Often we see our tasks that need to be done from the viewpoint of them being external from us. I have been feeling like this for a few days as I become busier and expand further.

This morning I soaked in the bath and reflected. I sat with my energy and the energy of my life right now and connected. I saw that the tasks I have to do as like a ‘to do list’ that was outside of me, so I imagined welcoming this ‘list’ into my energy and into my heart. I did this a few times and I began to feel different. I began to feel that I was now a PART of these tasks, rather than something I was to do!

Without realising it prior to this, I felt less pressured and more at ease with the harmony and flow of what was happening. I had moved into less externalising and more into internalising. However it was more than that! I was feeling expanded from my new focus, thanks to my new perspective!

Sometimes it helps to step back and gain a new perspective. Whether it is a soak in the bath, a walk in nature or some time alone - retreating can be what we are looking for to find the answers we need. If you are feeling stuck or overwhelmed, then maybe give it a try, you won’t know if it works for you or not till you do.

Visualise yourself expanding...
Visualisation:

See your self standing tall, breathe in the ever-present life force and breathe out your burdens and pressures - let them go... Now imagine expanding your breath to encompass your whole physical body. If you struggle to visualise, just use your imagination and give it a try.

After breathing like this for as long as you feel comfy, expand on your breath now. Expand out into your aura – feel your energy expand outwards in ALL directions! When you are comfortable with this, expand and imagine your energy fills the whole room... and go beyond this if you want to.

Visualise your ‘to-do list’ or something else that you see as outside of you – imagine this in front of you. When you are ready imagine gathering these into your energy and welcome them into your heart. Allow these to become a PART OF YOU!

No matter what you are doing in your life today, imagine BE-ing it rather than DO-ing it! There is a difference. Please share your experiences and any insights you have on these thoughts today.

Maintaining BALANCE when there is so much to do!

Maintaining BALANCE when there is so much to do!
By Lee-Anne Peters

Do you ever feel overwhelmed by everything you need to do, what needs your attention and the rush of your day?  Maybe you struggle to get everything done and then have time to rest and play as well... maintaining your sense of BALANCE can be a struggle, however, my suggestion is to make it FUN!
Do you have so much to do?

BALANCE is something I am always mindful of. It’s no accident that my teachings fall under the title of Temple of Balance, and I am a living and breathing example of the BALANCE we can have. However, there are even times where I feel the scales tip a little, I never see this as a bad thing, but an opportunity for me to FINE TUNE my BALANCE again!

To maintain your BALANCE on those physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels you will need to be as mindful as possible of what is happening for YOU in those areas of your life.

Are they BALANCED? Are they lopsided?

Some things to consider helping you stay as BALANCED as possible every single day and moment:

* Be AWARE of all of those aspects of YOU (body, mind, emotions, spirit) and how much you nurture and cherish them, or how much you reject or are at conflict with them.

* SIMPLIFY – often if you are so overwhelmed with tasks and things you must ‘do’ then something needs simplifying. Your schedule and priorities may need to be looked at and finetuned to make it EASIER for you to remain BALANCED. Let go of things that you do out of chore, or things that don’t make your heart sing.

* NURTURING – if you feel pressured or burdened with tasks or ‘to do’ things... then the best thing you can do is stop, step back and spend some time nurturing or nourishing yourself - maybe a soak in the tub, or a walk in nature. It may seem counterproductive because you have so much to do, however, if you can take 30 – 90mins out and re-focus and re-centre, your time ‘doing’ what you need to do will be more productive and come from a clearer space of mind.

* Make a LIST – work out a doable plan! This may help you sort things out in your mind, so you don’t HAVE TO clutter your mind with things you want to do, but you can spend more of your energy focusing on that one thing at a time. Then cross that task off your list and move to the next thing. Lists are a great way to get things sorted within.

* GRATITUDE is such a valuable concept for your energy and your life. Use your genuine gratitude to welcome more of what you do want in your life.

If you are feeling overwhelmed and out of BALANCE then it’s best to act and make changes sooner rather than later. It’s through your commitment and your choices made that will re-BALANCE your body, mind, emotions and spirit... and don’t forget to smile, laugh and have a little fun getting into BALANCE.

The Journey to be me!

The Journey to be me!
By Lee-Anne Peters

I built up the courage to step into the rain,
Encouraging ego, telling him it will be OK.
Together we marched through the darkness of light,
Journeying into the darkest of night.
We felt excited, hesitation, desire,
For the inner merging and flying higher.

Each step and each breath was a part of the journey, we stopped at the darkest of the night. To have courage to face the new dawn. To let go of the shackles, the armour all over the body. Stepping out and into the light of the morning sun….

Gently walked over to a seat with a view,
Where I sat and observed, rosellas there, those two.
I heard every sound and saw every sight,
The fragility of exposure, of no protection, was right.

I felt the wind, I felt the cold.
I felt the feeling of no defences take hold.
I breathed a deep, I let it go,
And up the hill my legs would flow.

Drawn to a tree, with the rosellas, two,
On the healing green hill, that was blessed with a view.
The tree embraced, we shared several moments.
No ego, no caring, no looking over the shoulder.

Just love, support and strength that I needed,
To tell me that I had done the right deed.
I felt it in my heart of hearts,
I felt the love, after feeling torn apart.

Now I rebuild… the caterpillar prepares its transformation,
Its journey towards its great destination.
The silence, the breaking down of old ways,
This is where the caterpillar turns an inward gaze.

Fragile, silent, gentle and meditating,
Its physical shell begins its disintegrating.
The old flakes away, the darkness is gone,
Replaced by the love and light of the dawn.

The light is in sight, but the pain is so strong,
How long will this take, ‘please tell me, how long?
Patiently and gently the ‘pillar’ waits,
Hibernating and hermit-ly retreating to fate.

With the pain, the suffering, the memories uplifted,
The brewing, the stewing of the old is being sifted.
The pain and hurt is releasing,
As the understanding of the pain is increasing.

The call is heard, the flags prepare to be drawn,
As the cycle of darkness, prepares to be dawn.
With excitement, expectancy, a celebration is near,
The ‘pillar’ finds the courage to move into fear.

The unknown, the new, there was nothing to plan,
The ‘pillar’ breathed, and moved, getting ready to fan.
A push and a pull, an opening of sorts,
And out came an arm, and unfurling wings, of course!

The ‘pillar’ moved and continued to flex,
Then the protection dropped, and the ‘pillar’ stretched.
She stretched wide and open, up and down,
What was this odd feeling way up on her crown?

She saw her reflection in the dew, on the grass,
Her heart began to smile; she had made it at last.
From the hungry caterpillar this beauty emerged,
The transformation was miraculous, that had momentarily occurred.

The cocoon housed the change,
The support held her safe.
However, now that boundary was needed no longer,
Within her heart she had gotten much stronger.

When the transition of cycles is ripe and ready,
Be gentle inside and outside, be steady.
Know within your heart’s deepest darkness,
That courage will help you move into lightness.

And then you will have the understanding to see,
To accept, that all was perfect, just perfect with me!!
