Can change work for us?

Can change work for us?

By Lee-Anne Peters

I had to deal with changes from very early on like many people – with parents separating from a very early age, lots of changes in school, moving house, the only constant I really had in all of that was myself. As the eldest of four girls I learned early on how to be independent, however I was always very unconfident and I never really had an opinion. When I left school and studied hairdressing for four years my confidence increased which then married nicely with my natural independence.
I increased my confidence as I trusted more in the FLOW!

Hairdressing gave me new insight into the FLOW, for hair had its own flow depending on how it grew, its texture, density and elasticity and I just LOVED cutting and styling hair to work well in this flow. I knew the FLOW had to work well because my clients could have a nice shaped haircut that would last several more weeks than the average!
This is where I started to explore change further, and over the past fifteen years I have been taking this further through my self healing journey. I noticed that CHANGE in fact is a natural cycle – just like the sun rising and setting, and the way the seasons change. Then I began to notice changes happening on more personal and intimate levels with my emotions, my motivation, my attitude and the simple ebb and flow of my body systems. Yep – I saw change to be normal and natural – but then WHY sometimes was there much resistance to change?
I have found that the more I have EXPECTATIONS on something - then it doesn’t work out and it deeply hits me. So every day I am working on releasing my expectations and refining how I go with the flow.
Are your expectations blocking you from flowing forward?

I work on being the observer and not getting too closely involved with the nitty gritty of my life situations, but to observe and then do my best to turn any challenge into an opportunity to again further improve myself.
In regards to my dreams, I always do my best to be an active player in my dreams – bringing them to life through focus, determination and action.
On my radio show / podcast today I shared some further experiences and perspectives about change, flow and trust. There is also a meditation to help you understand more about what change means for you. It’s a free listen and is only 60mins in length. As I’ve learned to become more joyful and flexible with CHANGE I notice it works more and more for me. I dive into the river of mine and I trust the current will take me exactly where I need to be. I do my best not to struggle swimming upstream exhausting myself, but to have fun on the journey!

Connecting to the SOURCE within!

Connecting to the SOURCE within!
By Lee-Anne Peters
For most of my life I just thought I was a single and small human living on this big wide world. I felt quite insignificant I must say. I had no religious upbringing; in fact my dear mother was raised in a religious sect that she broke free from when she was 18. Thus for me to know my mother’s family would not speak to her because she wasn’t ‘in’ their religion conjured up all sorts of non-belief in me.
You see for me none of this religious stuff felt right. There had to be something more that made more sense and is not so controlling and disempowering (please note, I am not trying to pull down anyone with religious beliefs. If you do, I respect that, I am simply sharing how I feel about it).
So skip forward a few decades and here I am, on the precipice of a massive internal shift. What I am shifting into I have no idea – but I sense things are changing, I sense I am changing. I am becoming freer, lighter, calmer, more focused and more than ever standing as a Pillar of Light and Truth.
An inner & outer shift can be incredibly freeing.
It is now, as I sit here in this moment where I can truly feel the SOURCE of who I am within me. It doesn’t sit in my arm, leg or even in my heart. It is not some man in the clouds, or someone I must worship or pray to. It is not something that judges me or belittles me. It doesn’t demand I do this or that.
It is simply an ever-present essence that weaves itself within everything. I see it in nature, in the air that I breathe and the food that I eat. I feel this presence deep within every cell of my being, every smile I witness and ever wonderful heart uplifting song I connect with. You see this essence or SOURCE I feel is life, it is LOVE, it is the Creator of all existence beyond time and space.
How do I know this? I can sense it, feel it, hear it, taste it, experience it… there is nothing special about me, I am just a mum in her 30’s and am a lot like you. I have learned to turn off my doubting and fearful mind. I have learned to not depend on others or things and to not give my power away to anything. I have discovered that we are all equal and part of a collective Oneness. I feel SOURCE (or you may call it God, the Universe, Great Spirit etc) within everything and for this I am so grateful for.
The SOURCE within me dances with life and I am in SYNCH and in Alignment with this essence. It is the Larger Part of me – it is my I AM ESSENCE – it is my HIGHER SELF – it is the CORE of who I AM.
Sometimes people can feel disconnected from it, or even lost from it… many go searching for it, but it is difficult to find - for it doesn’t hide under any bush, or need a lot of money to find…. It is simple, it is nature, it is everywhere. When the doubting, negative thinking and fear living mind is taught to step back – then we get glimpses of the source within…. We can connect with it – even for a moment!
Then we can focus on tapping into it for a little longer and a little longer each day, until it becomes a part of our life. A dancing UNION of who we are!
Today I shared on my Radio Show / Podcast a meditation and some sharing about my thoughts on our – I AM ESSENCE. It’s free, the player is below or here’s the link: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/templeofbalance/2014/04/03/meditation-hour-i-am-essence

How you perceive your I Am Essence – your Source – will likely be different from how I do, and this is a part of the uniqueness of us all. How boring the world would be if we all were exactly the same?!? Allow your uniqueness and individuality to SHINE!

Am I Selfish to LOVE who I Am?

Am I Selfish to LOVE who I Am?

By Lee-Anne Peters
Growing up I used to be extremely unconfident about myself. I had zero love for who I was, and was conditioned like many to not be selfish, but to put others first! Being a caring person is a part of my nature, however being unloving towards myself is not. I thought it was, but now I see it is quite unnatural for me to being unloving to me.
Lack of self love can bring up feelings like: loneliness, depression, overwhelm.
When I started my self-healing journey around the year 2000 it revealed to me how blocked I was with my own self love. Insecurities and doubts were revealed as I worked hard cutting ties and attachments that others had to me – they depended on me as I served them. It wasn't completely them though - I allowed it! It was time to get my power back!
At times I feel so mighty small,
Especially when you mute the call.
My attempts to communicate aren’t effective,
So I just leave you be and become self-reflective!

How can I hold my energy high,
When all you do is let out an unhappy sigh?
My heart wants to help you so,
However nothing I say can make that pain go.

I breathe deeply, I release that desire,
To help you now – all you want is to expire.
I do my best to make the most of this,
To be true to myself and ignore that hiss.

I breathe again and look in the mirror,
I am real about my feelings – they aren’t my killer.
My feelings help me understand my truth,
And how to find a much needed energy boost!

The mirror is foggy, how can that be?
I look into my eyes and I struggle to see...
There is more pain than I originally thought,
It seems in that net I’ve been caught.

I stare back into my sensitive eyes,
I ask myself, why do I need to hide?
Can’t I just go on as before?
Can I ignore that wave crashing shore?

I don’t want to ignore the feelings I feel,
I want to feel in order to heal.
I place my hand there on my heart,
My eyes glass over, I am eager to start.

I feel the love I have for me,
An unconditional love that will set me free.
This love I have can never die,
I am my best friend *a contented sigh*

I don’t need to rely on others at all,
To say my name - to follow the call.
My calling is mine I see,
No one else can know what I see.

My reflection starts to shine brighter to me,
I smile at me and all that I see.
I say the words – ‘I love you my dear’,
Not based on ego or any old fear.

I breathe deep and welcome in love,
The world isn’t out to get me – I’m free like a dove,
I wipe the tears from my loving eyes,
There’s no need to wear this stinky disguise!

So off it comes, I move deeper in love,
A love for myself – below and above.
No matter what others project onto me,
I am true to myself and I will always be...

Be me, be here, shine bright – that’s me!
If others don’t like it – then leave me be!
For there is only one special person in my life,
That person will not cause me strife!
Excerpt from – I Am Goddess, it’s time to shine! – Lee-Anne Peters

Potential within the pain we hold ourselves in!
As I broke away it threatened others, however it enhanced me. I began to feel more balanced, whole, compassionate and clear – a new sense of purpose awakened within me – all thanks to loving myself further.
Now I continue to take it deeper… to be aware of my thoughts and words towards me – ensuring they are as loving as can be. Now I have a renewed sense of purpose and genuinely love who I am.
Today I shared on my Radio Show / Podcast on SELF LOVE. In it I shared lots of tips and a live self love meditation / healing. It’s free, and here’s the player.
