Stretching out your day – play with more hours!

Stretching out your day – play with more hours!
By Lee-Anne Peters

No time?
I had a giggle on Wednesday, when on one of my usually high motivational days one of my friends said “You are a machine Lee-Anne!!!!! You inspire me to do so much more!!! There must be more hours in the day in Tasmania than there are in NSW!!!!” Thanks Camilla, your comment sure did make my day and give me a chuckle.

So what is it about my approach that may be different from yours? How can I get a week’s worth of stuff done in a day, have the energy to do it and have time to spare? And I promise you that we really don’t have more hours in our day in Tasmania... so what’s going on?

Firstly, there is a whole chapter about ‘Balancing your day with time management’ in my just released book ‘FromLack to Abundance’ and this is something that is a hot topic right now. More people are chasing their tail with everything, more people seem lost, stressed and defined by their obligations everyday rather than their hobbies and joys! What makes me so different?

Me with unlimited energy!
This is not something that happens overnight, and many people know this, which is why they give up, but it really comes down to following your dreams and purpose in life. When you follow your dreams, you have almost unlimited energy and drive. You start to make every moment count – and really EVERY MOMENT DOES COUNT! Not only is this commitment (to your purpose) in your favour, but also the fact that the Universe is there to offer you incredible support.

Imagine going on an errand and you catch every green light and the path is smooth and takes no time. During the trip you may be singing affirmations to yourself or visualising your next idea in form. On the flipside... imagine leaving home stressed. Maybe someone didn’t call who you were waiting for, you couldn’t find your keys, then you caught every single red light and were stuck at road works. The trip that took the first person twenty minutes, probably took the second person forty, and they would possibly come back home even more stressed. Can you see the difference?

In the book I share valuable tips and suggestions to help you not only with managing your time, but other important things that are very connected, like becoming less reliant on things or people, following your hobbies, letting go of beliefs that are holding you back, recognising that you do have the ability to prosper – and really having more productive hours in your day is just one facet! Your state of mind is essential in this process, as well as your ability to step out of your comfort zone sometimes and take action.

The seconds that tick by on the clock may be the same for you and for me, however are those seconds for you as productive and purposeful as possible? Turn your seconds – your valuable time, into something worthwhile. Remember it is not just about what you do, it’s also about what you think, what you say and what inspires you. Step into your personal power and recognise that YOU have the ability to live happily and purposefully every moment!

Is this something that is challenging for you? What do you feel is holding you back from making the most out of your day? Your thoughts are always welcomed.
